How to find your External IP Address

At times, your Yealink phone might lose it's connection to the phone switch. This can happen if your modem gets rebooted because of a power bump, or because your ISP set your modem to get a new IP address periodically.

When your IP address changes, your phone will disconnect. We have strengthened the security around our VOIP phones by only allowing your verified external IP address to connect to the phone switch. If any other phone attempts to connect to our phone switch, they will be blocked. As a result, we need your current external IP address to allow your phone to connect.

To find your external IP address, just go to http://icanhazip.com. This site returns just your external IP address and nothing more. It will be displayed in the upper left corner of the displayed page.


The icanhazip.com site requires no cookies or tracking what so ever.

Once you have this information, create a new ticket and let us know that you need your IP address updated!
